WILDES and St Francis Hotel team up for new single ‘Kopfkino’
London-based singer/songwriter WILDES and acclaimed producer St Francis Hotel have teamed up for a new collaborative project, with their first single, ‘Kopfkino,’ released October 15th.
The track explores the tension between fantasy and reality, diving into the mind’s capacity to create and distort. ‘Kopfkino,’ a term that translates to “head cinema” in German, opens with a brooding rhythm before expanding into an atmospheric landscape, guided by WILDES’ captivating vocals. Known for her introspective lyricism, WILDES (Ella Walker) reflects on the blurred line between imagination and reality, a theme that resonates deeply throughout the song.
Speaking about the track, WILDES said:
“‘Kopfkino’ is an immersion in the mind, and explores both the light and dark that we experience as individuals. From dwelling on a difficult moment frozen in time, to escaping blissfully in to the imagination, and struggling to distinguish fantasy from reality, daydreams visit us all.”
