The War On Drugs – I Don’t Live Here Anymore
It’s been a long time coming. Four years actually since the last The War On Drugs studio album. But Adam Granduciel and company haven’t been taking it easy. Quite the opposite. They’ve been meticulously working on I Don’t Live Here Anymore. Fine-tuning each track. And it shows. The album builds upon 2017’s A Deeper Understanding and 2014’s Lost In the Dream. But make no mistake, their signature sound is still there. It’s just evolved. It’s become more elaborate. More grandiose. And dare we say, more perfect than the previous incarnations. Lotic – Water
J’Kerian Morgan, known professionally as Lotic, is an American experimental electronic musician/artist based in Berlin. Think Nine Inch Nails meets Aphex Twin meets FKA Twigs. Her latest album, Water is awash with curiosity and imagination that only Lotic could bring. And the album drops just in time to be your backdrop for Halloween. But don’t confine the 9-track odyssey to that realm. It deserves more than that. It’s ripe with creativity, tempo changes, and sounds from the underworld that will keep you intrigued and wanting more. Just be prepared.

Archspire – Bleed the Future
With song titles like ‘Drain of Incarnation,’ ‘Golden Mouth of Ruin,’ and ‘Bleed the Future’ you may think you know what you’re getting yourself into. But you have no idea. From the first note of ‘Drone Corpse Aviator’ to the final notes of ‘A.U.M.,’ Archspire comes at you at a hell-bent speed most aren’t ready for. They do this with a technical precision that’s only accessible once you get past the sheer intense nature of their sound. Bleed the Future is a quick venture coming in at 31 minutes, but make no mistake, they don’t waste one second on the album. Recorded between October and November 2020, the band spent much of their time in post-production allowing them to perfect this epic adventure into technical death metal.
