3 New Albums Out This Week You Should Listen to Now: SAULT, Beirut, and Julien Baker & TORRES

There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.
This week we’re highlighting new music from SAULT, Beirut, and Julien Baker & TORRES.
SAULT – 10
Just days after quietly releasing four new songs, the enigmatic UK indie-soul collective SAULT surprise-dropped a full album titled 10, now officially available on streaming platforms after a brief early appearance. Arriving over Easter weekend, the gospel-leaning LP comes amid controversy, as core member Inflo is currently being sued by former collaborator Little Simz over an unpaid $2.2 million loan — part of which allegedly funded SAULT’s only live show, where Simz also performed. Despite the turmoil, 10 has arrived.
Standout Songs: ‘T.H.,’ ‘I.L.T.S.,’ ‘H.T.T.R.’ ‘W.A.L.’ and ‘S.O.T.H.’

Beirut’s seventh studio album, A Study of Losses, out now via Pompeii Records, is a sweeping collection of eighteen tracks—seven of them instrumental—rooted in the introspective themes of Judith Schalansky’s book Verzeichnis Einiger Verluste. Recorded in Berlin and Stokmarknes for the Swedish circus Kompani Giraff, the album spans “wide-ranging chamber folk” and includes the singles ‘Caspian Tiger’ and ‘Guericke’s Unicorn.’

Julien Baker & TORRES – Send A Prayer My Way
Send a Prayer My Way is the debut studio album from American country duo Julien Baker & Torres. Released via Matador Records, the collaboration traces back to a shared performance in 2016 and a 2019 text from Torres suggesting they make a country album. After years of orbiting each other’s work, the project officially launched with a joint performance at Big Ears Festival in 2024. The duo previewed the album with two singles: ‘Sugar in the Tank’ in December and ‘Sylvia’ in January.
Standout Songs: ‘Dirt,’ ‘Sugar in the Tank,’ and ‘Sylvia.’
