3 New Albums Out This Week You Should Listen to Now: Black Country, New Road, Jane Remover, and Craig Finn

There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.
This week we’re highlighting new music from Black Country, New Road, Jane Remover, and Craig Finn.
Black Country, New Road – Forever Howling
Black Country, New Road’s third album Forever Howlong continues the bold reinvention that began after the departure of lead vocalist Isaac Wood following 2022’s Ants from Up There. Rather than perform old material without him, the band crafted a new identity with vocals and songwriting led by Tyler Hyde, Georgia Ellery, and May Kershaw—first showcased on 2023’s Live at Bush Hall. Forever Howlong captures the urgency and cohesion of their evolving live sound, blending baroque folk-pop, jagged indie, and woodwind-laced art rock. “Having the three different singers definitely gave it a different quality, both in terms of the outcome and also in the actual songwriting. Three different perspectives grants you three completely different worlds,” says drummer Charlie Wayne.
Standout Songs: ‘Besties,’ ‘Happy Birthday,’ and ‘For the Cold Country.’

Jane Remover – Revengeseekerz
Revengeseekerz, the third studio album by Jane Remover, was released without prior announcement on April 4, 2025, via DeadAir Records. The album follows 2023’s Census Designated and a run of non-album singles, as well as Remover’s experimental side project Ghostholding under the alias Venturing. After scrapping an 18-track album in 2024, Remover shifted directions for Revengeseekerz, previewed by singles ‘JRJRJR’ and ‘Dancing with Your Eyes Closed.’ The album rollout featured cryptic teases and visually rich videos, continuing Remover’s boundary-pushing approach ahead of their Turn Up or Die tour across North America.
Standout Songs: ‘Psychoboost’ feat danny brown, ‘Experimental Skin,’ ‘Dancing with your eyes closed,’ ‘Professional Vengeance,’ and ‘JRJRJR.’

Craig Finn – Always Been
Craig Finn’s sixth solo album, Always Been, arrives as a richly detailed collection produced by Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs, with contributions from members of that band and guest vocals by Kathleen Edwards and Sam Fender. The album builds on Finn’s storytelling legacy with expansive, shimmering arrangements and characters drawn from his companion fiction book Lousy With Ghosts. While continuing to tour in support of Always Been, Finn will headline a special one-night show at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on May 30, featuring an all-star band including Granduciel, Edwards, and others.
Standout Songs: ‘People Of Substance,’ ‘The Man I’ve Always Been,’ ‘Postcards,’ and ‘Shamrock.’
