There’s so much good music out in the ether that sometimes it’s difficult to parse through all of it. Every week The Daily Music Report will do the hard work for you and highlight the best releases available on streaming services.

This week we’re highlighting new music from Dry Cleaning, Lasse Lokøy, and The Cribs.

Dry Cleaning – Secret Love

Secret Love is Dry Cleaning’s third studio album, released on January 9, 2026 via 4AD and produced by Cate Le Bon. The band’s first album without longtime producer John Parish, it was recorded in France after demo sessions across Chicago, Dublin, and London. Building on their post-punk sound, the record features a greater emphasis on sung vocals from Florence Shaw and was preceded by four singles.

Standout Songs: ‘Hit My Head All Day,’ ‘Cruise Ship Designer,’ ‘Let Me Grow and You’ll See The Fruit,’ ‘Evil Evil Idiot,’ and ‘Joy.’

Lasse Lokøy – And The Roommates

Norwegian artist and former Sløtface bassist Lasse Lokøy has released his new album & The Roommates via Glimten Records. Written after leaving Los Angeles—where he worked closely with Toro y Moi, Uffie, and Om’Mas Keith—the album took shape back in Oslo inside a former Sverre Fehn–designed dorm, where housemates became bandmates. Recorded live and fast, & The Roommates trades Lokøy’s earlier production-led approach for a more vulnerable, songwriter-focused sound, unfolding like an inward-facing photo album shaped by collaboration, intimacy, and emotional range.

Standout Songs: ‘When Everything Was Intuitive,’ ‘Clay of May Heart,’ ‘Raining In L.A.,’ and ‘Lots of People Here.’

The Cribs – Selling a Vibe

The Cribs return from a five-year hiatus with Selling a Vibe, embracing a sharper, more contemporary sound with production from Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift), whose polished touch refines rather than reinvents the band. The album puts Ryan and Gary Jarman’s melodic hooks and harmonies front and center, balancing nods to their post-Strokes roots on tracks like ‘A Point Too Hard to Make’ and ‘Never the Same’ with the confident, groove-led ease of ‘Self-Respect’ and ‘Brothers Won’t Break,’ proving the band’s staying power as they near their 25th anniversary.

Standout Songs: ‘Dark Luck,’ ‘A Point To Make,’ and ‘Never The Same.’
